Rising star Josh Adewale is ready to display exactly what he has picked up from his high-quality sparring when he returns to action at York Hall in London this weekend.
Adewale (2-0) spent some time alongside the likes of John Ryder and Craig Richards in the build up to his fight, and he’s learned plenty of new skills that will be put into action on Saturday.
Adewale said: “Every time I fight people should get ready to see a better version of myself. I’ve had some quality sparring, and in my two professional fights I’ve already been getting people hurt and knocked down.
“Fans can expect to see more of that as I’ve learnt a lot from the people I’ve been sparring. I’ve done some quality rounds with John Ryder recently, and have been watching Craig Richards spar too, and you can pick up a lot from watching those guys.
“This is my third fight in six months, and it feels good to be kept relatively busy. In the amateurs I would sometimes have five fights in the space of four weeks, and I feel that’s when I’m able to perform at my best.
“I had one week out of the gym after my last fight, and then I was straight back in there preparing. I was fairly pleased with my last performance. It would have been good to get him out of there, but I knocked him down several times so that’s a positive I can take from it.
“It was the first time I boxed at York Hall in my last fight, and I’m excited to fight there again this week and show everyone what I am capable of.”
