Behind on the cards, a struggling Lucas Browne was brutally finished in the sixth round by Dillian Whyte at the O2 last night. Having both come in heavy, the safe money was on a shoot out between Brixton’s Whyte and Sydney’s Browne, and so it was to be. Mostly one way traffic led to a busted up Lucas down and out from a sweeping right in the sixth.
On a somewhat explosive card, Frank Buglioni was stopped and relieved of his British title in vicious fashion by Callum Johnson, who also retained his Commonwealth light heavyweight crown.
Lewis Ritson retained his Lord Lonsdale belt by battering Scott Cardle into submission in the second. Cardle came out firing but ineffectively so, and appeared to gas immediately. However, Ritson does look special.
